Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H8i Quick Start Guide

Turn on / off

Turn on headphones before putting it on. Short press center button to turn on headphone. To turn off, press center button for 2 seconds or headphone will automatically turn off when not in use for 15 mins. Beoplay H8i remembers previously connected devices. When turned on, H8i attempts to reconnect to previously paired devices.

Bluetooth pairing

Press and hold the middle button on the right headphone for 5 seconds to initiate Bluetooth pairing. Release the button when a sound is heard and the indicator light flashes blue.

Select Beoplay H8i in the Bluetooth settings on your device.

Music operation

Press once the center button to play or pause music. Double press to go to next track and triple press to go to previous track. Press Vol+ to increase or press Vol- to reduce volume. To activate voice recognition, press and hold the center button for 3 seconds.

Remove the headphones and wait for 2 seconds to pause. Put on the headphones and wait for 2 seconds to play. To disable the automatic play/pause function, press and hold the middle button on the right headphone for 5 seconds until the indicator light flashes blue and then double press the middle button. The indicator light will turn red. To re-enable, repeat the same steps until the indicator light turns green.

Call operation

When there is an incoming call, short press the center button to accept or long press to reject the call. During a call, long press to terminate and double press to transfer audio from H8i to the device.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) operation

ANC is ON when headphones are turned on and the indicator light is white. Move the button down to turn off ANC. Move the button down again to turn on ANC.

Transparency operation

Transparency is OFF when headphones are turned on. Move the button up to turn on Transparency and the indicator light will turn orange. Move the button up again to turn off Transparency.

Charging

When the indicator turns red, the battery power is below 10%. Charge the headphones using the USB cable. You can use the headphones while they are charging. When the battery is fully charged, the indicator turns solid green.

Use with cable

Plug in the enclosed mini-jack cable to use the headphones if you are unable to use Bluetooth or if the battery is used up.
