Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H9i Quick Start Guide

Turn on / off

Turn on headphones before putting it on. Move switch to the ON position to turn on the headphones. To turn off, move the switch to the OFF position. The headphones will automatically turn off when not in use for 15 mins. Beoplay H9i remembers previously connected devices. When turned on, it will attempt to reconnect to previously paired devices.

Activate Bluetooth^® pairing

Move switch to the top position and hold for 2 sec. to initiate Bluetooth pairing. Release the switch when a sound is heard and the indicator starts flashing blue. Select Beoplay H9i in the Bluetooth settings on your device.

1. Tap to play or pause.
   
2. Remove the headphones and wait 2 seconds to pause. Put on the headphones and wait for 2 seconds to play. To disable the automatic play/pause function, move the switch to the top position and hold for 2 seconds until the indicator light flashes blue. Then, double tap the center of touchpad on the right headphone and the indicator light will turn red. To re-enable, repeat the same steps until the indicator light turns green.
   

...Music operation - wireless and cabled

Use the touchpad to control ANC in wireless or cabled mode. ANC is ON when the headphones are turned on and the indicator light turns white. Swipe from top to bottom to turn off ANC. Swipe again from top to bottom to turn on ANC.

Use the touchpad to control Transparency in wireless or cabled mode. Transparency is OFF when the headphones are turned on. Swipe from bottom to top to turn on Transparency and the indicator light will turn orange. Swipe again from bottom to top to turn off Transparency.

1. Tap to answer call. Long press to end call.
   
2. Circle clockwise or counter-clockwise for volume adjustment.
   

When a call is active, swipe forward to transfer it from the headphones to the smartphone.

Use with cable

Plug in the enclosed mini-jack cable to use the headphones if you are not allowed to use Bluetooth or if the battery is discharged.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) operation - cabled

1. When the cable is plugged in, move the switch to the bottom position to deactivate ANC.
   
2. Move the switch to middle position to activate ANC.
   

Charge battery

\When the indicator turns red, the battery power is below 10%. Charge the headphones using the USB cable or exchange the battery. You can use the headphones while they are charging. When the battery is fully charged, the indicator turns constant green.

Exchange battery

Turn the left earphone cap anti-clockwise to open the battery compartment. Remove the battery by pressing the button at the bottom of the compartment. Insert the new battery with the marker pointing upward. To close the cap, align the mark inside the headphones with the mark on the cap and turn clockwise to lock it.
