Operation

The devices may only be operated by staff instructed by Siemens or its delegates
and who understand the potential risks.
2.1

Bus operator unit functions

The bus operator unit allows for all operations (set and read data point values). The
settings are transferred to the device in the KNX network (bus device), processed and
saved in the device.
The bus operator unit does not save data. The read values for the user are generated
in the device and transferred to the bus operator unit.
All devices whose device descriptions are saved in the bus operator unit can be
operated.
2.2

Operating concept

All setting and readout values are arranged as data points (operating lines) in a soft-
ware menu tree. Using the operating elements, every data point can be selected,
displayed or set. The LCD shows all menus as clear text.
The bus operator unit contains several programmed languages. The required
application is enabled in the commissioning phase (see installation instructions,
G3113).
