PROCEDURES FOR CONNECTION TO A NET MD PLAYER

Connect the USB cable.
All the connection of the PC should be made and its power should be turned on.
The player should be turned on (the indicator lights up).
Checking the connection of the USB cable.

If the microcomputer Vbas input is in the L state for approx. 1.5 seconds, the USB connection is recognized.
If DNK information from EEPROM is not read properly, the connection is not recognized.
If the following errors occur, subsequent procedures are not performed.
(Power abnormal, temperature rise, EEPROM error, battery exhaustion)
Activating the security chip RESET output from the microcomputer = H

Program download to the security chip.

The operation program (stored in the microcomputer built-in ROM) is written via the serial communication by CPU_CS,
CPU_SO and CPU_SCK output.
Writing the DNK information into the security chip.
(4)
DNK information stored in EEPROM is written via the serial communication by CPU_CS, CPU_SO and CPU_SCK
output.
Waiting for reception from the PC.
(5)
The status of the security chip is checked via the serial communication by CPU_SC, CPU_SO, CPU_SCK and CPU_SI.
When valid command is received, the player recognizes the connection is made.
(6)
"Net MD" appears.
If the "microcomputer Vbas input = H" state is detected, USB disconnection is recognized.
If DNK information stored in EEPROM is not valid, check-in/check-out is impossible.
(Playback, name creating, etc. can be performed.)
