Additional Installation/Replacement of Packet Routing Units
The same method of installing/replacing a packet routing unit is applied for all the
GR4000 models.
You can install or replace a packet routing unit without powering off the device.
When installing or replacing a packet routing unit into or from the device while powered
on, you must input the required command from an operation terminal. As for the
commend to be input, refer to the GR4000 Operations Guide.

A TRAINED ENGINEER OR A QUALIFIED MAINTENANCE PERSON.
NOTE: When installing another packet routing unit, remove the dummy panel.
Store the removed dummy panel safely, so that it doesn't get bent or lost.
Remove all the network interface boards from the packet routing unit
Loosen the screws of the packet routing unit.
