4.7.1 Attachment/Detachment of Type A Module

(1) Attachment of GBIC
Step 1 Pull the lever off and insert the GBIC until it reaches the back of the port.

Step 2 Lock the GBIC by pushing down the lever towards the direction indicated in Figure 4.7-2
below.

Caution: While the access indicator of BCU (ACC lamp) is lit, the memory card is being
accessed. DO NOT pull out a memory card or turn off the power switch while the
memory card is being accessed. If so, you could permanently damage the
memory card.
NOTE: You can attach or remove the GBIC to and from the network interface module
(NIF) even though it is installed into the device which is powered on.
