[EXAMPLE]
In the example shown in Fig. 3 2 , the horizontal distance
between the t w o points is 5.4 divisions. If the S W E E P
T I M E / D I V is 0 . 2 ms/div, time to be determined is:
Time = 5.4 (div) x 0 . 2 (ms/div) = 1.08 ms
(2) Cursor Measurement Procedures
1)
Display the w a v e f o r m to be measured in an easy-to-
see position according to the normal procedures above.
2)
Select the AT cursor mode with the C U R S O R S .
3)
Align the z l R E F cursor to the left of the t w o points to
be measured, and the zicursor to the right.
4)
Measured value is displayed following AT in the upper
right of the C R T .

6. TIME DIFFERENCE MEASUREMENT
(1)
Normal Procedures
The following describes normal procedures for measuring
time difference between t w o signal synchronized to each
other:
1)
Apply t w o signals to C H 1 and C H 2 input connectors.
Select A L T or CHOP of the V E R T I C A L MODE switches.
Generally, A L T is used for high-frequency signals, while
C H O P is used for low-frequency signals.
2)
Set each control for normal s w e e p display. Select the
faster of the t w o signals as the A S O U R C E (reference
signal), and adjust
the
TIME/DIV to obtain easy-to-see waveform display. Set
the V A R I A B L E of each channel and S W E E P TIME to the
C A L condition.
3)
Set the waveform to the center with each • POSITION
control. T h e n , set the reference signal to a vertical
graduation line with the ^ • POSITION control.
4)
Measure the horizontal distance between the t w o sig-
nals. Multiply this distance by the S W E E P T I M E / D I V
setting.
Time = Horizontal distance (div)
x S W E E P T I M E / D I V setting

[EXAMPLE]
In the example s h o w n in Fig. 3 4 , measured horizontal
distance between t w o signals is 4 . 4 divisions. If the
S W E E P T I M E / D I V setting is 0 . 2 ms/div,
Time difference = 4 . 4 (div) x 0 . 2 (ms/div) = 0 . 8 8 ms
