Reducing Frequent Paper Jams or Errors

If the machine has frequent paper jams, errors, or defects in binding, such as those
shown below, then the paper may be curled or not suitable.
- Defect in attaching the glue
- Unequal cutting size
- Folded bonding area in corner of inserted paper

- Cuttings remain on the bound booklet
In these situations, do the checks and adjustments in the following order.
Check that the type of paper can be used
Refer to "Types of Paper that Can be Used" ( P. 2-2) regarding the types of paper that
can be used in the machine.
Check the paper loaded in the inserter
When using the inserter, always correct any curl before loading paper.
Check for and correct any paper curl
Refer to the instructions described below to confirm paper curl and perform the curl
correction. Also, before performing perfect binding, we recommend you to check the curl
state of a paper.

Reducing Frequent Paper Jams or Errors

Select the paper source in the printer used for perfect binding.
Make two-sided copies without setting case binding and
discharge the paper to the finisher.
