Hardware Installation
L6Q camera systems are developed to be used in location in locations that are utilized by law
enforcement, homeowner associations, and local businesses.
Installation Site Preparation
Sites ideal for the L6Q installation have the following qualities:
A mounting pole or surface in direct sunlight or wired with accessible AC or DC power.
A mounting point that is above pedestrian reach (>8 feet) to discourage tampering.
A mounting point that is less than 75 feet from the point of the plate capture.
A mounting point that is along the roadway that minimizes the azimuth and elevation of the license
plate in relation to the camera at a maximum of 30 degrees.
Serviceable cellular signal from the U.S. carrier in use.
Low-speed (<75 mph) and low to medium volume traffic (<1000 vehicles/day) in one or two lanes.
NOTE: When performing installation with a ladder, ensure that there is a firm and stable surface
to work around the installation point.
