6. Replace the terminal of the RS485 cable with the terminal delivered with the
SmartLogger3000.
Ensure that the RS485+ and RS485- terminals are respectively connected to the COM+ and
COM- ports on the SmartLogger.
7. Connect cables to the SmartLogger3000.

8. Switch on the branch switch that controls the power supply from the remote transformer
station to the smart array controller. Then, switch on the MCBs AC INPUT and PID INPUT
(with an anti-PID module).
Scenario 3: On a Wall
1. Remove cables connected to the SmartLogger1000 and label them.
2. Lift the SmartLogger1000 upwards along the wall and lift it outwards to remove it.
Description
12 V DC power input.
Connects to an Ethernet switch, a router, or a PC.
Supports three RS485 ports that can connect to
devices such as the solar inverter and EMI.
3. Drill holes on the wall and install the SmartLogger3000.
4. Connect the PE cable to the SmartLogger3000. Connect the other end of the PE cable to the
nearest ground point.
5. Replace the terminal of the RS485 cable with the terminal delivered with the
SmartLogger3000.
Ensure that the RS485+ and RS485- terminals are respectively connected to the COM+ and
COM- ports on the SmartLogger.
