9. Replace the terminal of the RS485 cable with the terminal delivered with the
SmartLogger3000.
Ensure that the RS485+ and RS485- terminals are respectively connected to the COM+ and
COM- ports on the SmartLogger.
10. Reinstall the 4G router.
11. Remove the original power cable from the JX03 wiring terminals and install a spare power
cable (BOM code: 04152379). Connect one wire of the power cable to the power port on the
SmartLogger3000 and another wire to the power port on the router using JX03 wiring
terminals. Bind and insulate the unused wire. The mapping between cable labels and ports is
as follows.

12. Connect cables to the SmartLogger3000. Bind and insulate the unused wire.

POWER DC IN 12V,1A • Replan the power cable route based on the position of the
power port on the SmartLogger3000.
• Connects to an Ethernet switch, a router, or a PC.
FE WAN • Replan the network cable route based on the position of the
WAN port on the SmartLogger3000.
• Supports three RS485 ports that can connect to devices such
as the solar inverter and environmental monitoring
COM1–COM3 COM1–COM3 instrument (EMI).
• Replan the RS485 communications cable route based on the
position of the COM ports on the SmartLogger3000.
13. Switch on the switch between the combiner box and upper-level and lower-level devices.
Scenario 2: Inside a Communications Cabinet (Guide Rail)
1. Switch off the AC INPUT and PID INPUT miniature circuit breakers (MCBs) on the smart array
controller. Then, switch off the branch switch that controls the power supply from the
remote transformer station to the smart array controller to ensure that it is not powered on.
After disconnecting the power supply, wait at least 1 minute before replacing the SmartLogger.
