Figure 23: Connecting a Dolby DCP-2000 to a Dolby CP950A
Note: In this CP950A configuration, you can transport Dolby Atmos content from the playback system
via the CP950A Command port. If there is a valid network route between the devices, there are no
configuration changes needed on the CP950A to receive Dolby Atmos audio on the Command port.
The network automatically adjusts when the CP950A is added as the Cinema Audio Processor in the
DCP-2000 Device Manager.

2.7.5 Connecting a Dolby DCP‑2K4 to the Dolby CP950 or CP950A
To connect the Dolby DCP‑2K4 to the Dolby CP950/CP950A, connect the Dolby DCP‑2K4 Advanced Encryption
Standard (AES) port to the Dolby CP950/CP950A 8x AES INPUT ports with CAT5e (or greater) Ethernet cables
using the provided DB25-to-RJ45 adapter, as shown in the following figure. We recommend connecting the
adapter to the DCP-2K4, and then connecting the Ethernet cables to the CP950/CP950A. Reducing the
number of connections is useful in preventing electromagnetic interference (EMI).
