7. Install the screw to secure the Wi-Fi card to the system board, and then connect the Wi-Fi antenna
cables to the Wi-Fi card.

Replacing a Wi-Fi antenna

To replace the a Wi-Fi antenna, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 82.
3. Locate the Wi-Fi antenna you want to replace. See "Computer components" on page 31.
4. Depending on whether you are replacing the front Wi-Fi antenna or the rear Wi-Fi antenna, do one
of the following:
• If you are replacing the front Wi-Fi antenna, remove the front bezel. See "Replacing the front bezel"
on page 82.
• If you are replacing the rear Wi-Fi antenna, remove the rear Wi-Fi antenna cover from the chassis
as shown.
