ground for an extended period.

Thoroughly clean the broom and ensure that it is
free of all caustic chemicals and/or residue.
3.
Clean the machine thoroughly.
4.
Touch up chipped surfaces with paint available
from your Authorized Service Dealer. Sand
affected areas before painting, and use a rust
preventative to prevent the metal parts from
rusting.
5.
Tighten all loose screws, bolts, and locknuts.
Repair or replace any damaged parts.
6.
Cover the machine and store it in a clean, dry
place out of the reach of children. Allow the
engine to cool before storing it in any enclosure.
Important:
Keep the broom away from
sunlight, weather, and temperature changes
to prevent brittleness.
Removing the Machine
from Storage
1.
Remove the spark plug and pull the recoil-start
handle to rapidly spin the engine and pump the
excess oil from the cylinder.
2.
Install the spark plug by hand and then torque it
to 20.4 N∙m (15 ft-lb).
3.
Connect the spark-plug wire.
4.
Perform the annual maintenance procedures
as given in the Recommended Maintenance
Schedule; refer to
Maintenance (page
18).
