Settings in Tune

Tune is a function to optimize focus, brightness (exposure and gain), and lightning patterns. The code reader can be
configured easily by using tuning function.
The following shows the procedure for setting parameters using Tune.
Preparation for tuning
• Set symbols to be read in [Code Details] of [Application Steps]. Some symbols are initially set as an enabled symbol.
A codes which is not set as an enabled symbol is not detected during tuning. Check if the symbol of the target
code is enabled before tuning.
• Click the [Live] button in [Optimize Image] of [Application Steps] to switch to Live mode.
• Locate a target code close to the center of the reading range while checking 'Image Panel.'
* However, the image is blurred at this point because the image is not focused.
• A green light emitted from a code reader is a sighting light called aimer. Locate a read target code to the center of the aimer.
* "Aimer Enabled" needs to be enabled.
• When the installation location of the read target code is determined, click the [Live] button again to end Live mode.
Execute tuning
Tuning is started by clicking the [Tune] button.
The [Tune] button is switched to [Cancel] button during tuning.
During tuning, red, yellow and green circles are displayed on Image Panel and the process of adjusting a focus can be
checked. A code surrounded by a green frame indicates that the code is recognized by the code reader. Additionally, a fine
adjustment of a focus, brightness adjustment, and lightning pattern adjustment are performed.
When adjusting a focus
When tuning is completed, the [Cancel] button is switched to [Tune].
