Troubleshooting Guide

Should you have a problem with your unit, check the
unit while referring to the instructions in the table
below.
Symptoms
The NORMAL indicator of
the transmitter does not
light.
The OVER indicator of the
transmitter lights (in red).
The CHECK indicator of
the infrared radiator lights.
Both the POWER indicator
and CHECK indicator of
the infrared radiator blink.
(only for SX-9134)
The POWER indicator of
the infrared receiver does
not light or is very dim.

Possible causes
The input signal level is too low.
The signal input level is too high.
• The connecting cable is not
connected to the LINE IN/LINE
OUT connectors properly.
• The POWER switch of the
transmitter is not set to ON.
The cooling fan has stopped.
The built-in battery is not charged.
Corrective action
Increase the output level of the audio
source equipment until the NORMAL
indicator lights (in green).
Decrease the output level at the audio
source equipment until the OVER
indicator goes off and the NORMAL
indicator lights.
• Connect the connecting cable
correctly.
• Set the POWER switch of the
transmitter to ON.
Replace the cooling fan with the new
one.
For details, contact your nearest Sony
dealer.
Check the charge condition of the
battery of that receiver by inserting it into
the BATTERY CHECK pocket of the
charger. If the battery charge level is
low , charge the battery.
