● Is the power plug removed from the AC outlet?
● Is the power switch turned on?
● Is the cable connected correctly?
● Is the camera head positioned correctly?
● Is the iris set value appropriate (p. 13)?
● Is the RGB OUT or VIDEO OUT connector switched correctly?
● Are the MODE switch and SYNC. switch set appropriately (p. 5)?
● Did you store the picture in PICTURE MEMORY before recalling it? If you did not store it after
the power is turned on, a black screen is shown (p. 16).
● Is the close-up lens set?
● Is the object too close to the lens or is the top of the object at a height of more than 100 mm from
the stage surface?
● Has the film set in the slide film holder been enlarged too much?
● Did you shoot the surrounding objects with a camera on which the close-up lens is set (p. 9)?
● If this unit is connected to a projector, check if the projector is out of focus.
● Is the close-up lens or camera lens dirty? Clean it with a commercially available cleaner.
● Is the side illumination on?
● Is the iris set value appropriate?
● The dots in the printed matter interfere with the pixels in the camera image device and color
stripes may occur. In this case, change the picture size slightly with the ZOOM buttons.
● Did you adjust the tone with the AUTO WHITE SET (p. 11)?
● Is the set value for [RED LEVEL] and [BLUE LEVEL] of the ON-SCREEN ADJUSTMENTS opti-
mum?
● When this unit is used near equipment generating a strong electric wave or a digital device such as
a personal computer, beats may occur in the picture. Keep this unit away from such equipment.
● When two or more buttons are pressed simultaneously or the button is pressed many times
continuously, this unit may not operate correctly. When pressing buttons, leave an interval be-
tween presses.
● With some buttons, an on-screen display is shown and some buttons do not work when another
function is activated. Refer to the description on the buttons.
● As a high-pixel CCD is used in this unit, signal processing takes time. As a result, picture move-
ment is slow (about 4 to 5 frames/second).
● Are there batteries in the remote control unit?
● Are the batteries exhausted?
● Is the remote control unit being operated outside the effective range (p. 16)?
● Black or white spots may appear in rare cases due to the high-pixel CCD characteristics of a
moving picture. If the picture is enlarged with the DIGITAL ZOOM function and spots are particu-
larly noticeable, switch the DIGITAL ZOOM off.
● During the SVGA mode when a moving object is projected onto the screen, yellow or blue colors
may be reflected at its focal point or a grid pattern may appear. In either case use another mode.
