Selecting the Display and Voice Guidance Language
After installing the battery in the handset, the handset display will prompt you to set
the display and voice guidance language to English or French.
If you do not set a display and voice guidance language, the following functions
will not work properly:
— the [MENU] button
— storing or viewing the phone book items
— viewing the caller list items

Press English or Franç.

Press Save or Sauv.
• You can also select a language by pressing [ ] or
[ ] before pressing Save or Sauv.
To change the display and voice guidance language

Press [MENU] .

Scroll to " Initial setting " by pressing [ ]
or [ ] , then press Select .

Scroll to " Change language " by pressing [ ]
or [ ] , then press Select .

Select the language by pressing Franç. or
English .

Press Sauv. or Save, then press [OFF].
Battery Charge
Place the handset on the base unit and charge
for about 6 hours before initial use. Repeat
charging will require approximately the same
amount of charging time (6 hours) if the battery is
depleted completely.
• The IN USE/CHARGE indicator lights and the
unit beeps once.
• It is normal for the back of the handset to feel
warm during battery charge.
