Starting a Scan from a Scanning Program

You can start Epson Scan 2 from a TWAIN-compliant scanning program to select scan settings, scan,
and open the scanned image in the program.
Note: If you are using your Epson product with the Windows 10 S operating system, you cannot use the
software described in this section. You also cannot download and install any Epson product software
from the Epson website for use with Windows 10 S; you must obtain software only from the Windows
Store.
1. Open your scanning program and select its scanning option. (See your scanning program help for
instructions.)
2. Select your product.
Note: In certain programs, you may need to select your product as the "source" first. If you see a
Select Source option, choose it and select your product. With Windows, do not select a WIA option
for your product; not all scan functions will be available.

I just fill the ink tanks. I pressed the start button to start the ink charging. The directions say it should take 10 minutes. It has been 30 minutes or longer that the start button is flashing. I **** not supposed to touch any buttons until it stops flashing. What do I need to do?

If the start button on the Epson ET-2850 is still flashing after 30 minutes of ink charging, turn off the printer, then turn it back on and check if the charging process is still in progress. If it is, contact Epson for further assistance.

@Joe longo use the left or right arrow on the pad to show Copy. To do a quick copy, press the power button to the left of the screen. If you want to make multiple copies or any other changes, After selecting the Copy function press OK and the settings window will be on the screen.

I have an ET-2850. When I place 4 photos on the bed to be scanned, it use to scan in all 4 photos at once as a single image to saved as a jpeg. Now the scanner scans them either as singles or two photos on a image to be saved as multiple jpegs. As you can see from the image below, this is what is showing, instead of all 4 pictures on the scanning bed. I have not changed any photo settings. The only thing I changed was switching to document mode and then switched back to photo mode. I have looked on the online owner’s manual and other websites, but cannot find a solution.

To scan four photos at once as a single JPEG using the Epson ET-2850, ensure that the scanner is set to photo mode instead of document mode. In photo mode, the scanner should recognize and scan all four images as one. If the setting has changed, access the Epson Scan software, select the appropriate scan mode, and adjust the settings to scan all images as a single JPEG file.

@Mr. Anderson I have not changed any settings in the photo mode. It just started separating all photos separately instead of all together. Unless after a software update changed, what should the settings be to get all photeos on one sheet instead of single photos.

WHERE IS THE SETTING FOR PRINTING JUST PAGE 1 FROM A 3 PAGE DOCUMENT (EPSON 2850)

I only have black and white copies, although I could make color prints when I first purchased this Epson ET-2850 printer. The Y, M, and C tanks are full. The black and white prints are okay, but no color.
