Appendix 3 Processing the inner sheath and inner shield
The method of connecting and attaching the coaxial cable connector to the coaxial cable is shown below. It
is recommended that a product equivalent to the BNC-P-5DV (Manufactured by Hirose Inc.) is used. (Refer to
the diagram in Appendix.3.)
Details on processing (the BNC-P-5DV) are provided below.

Description of work
Insert the tightening nut, the washer and the gasket in

that order into the coaxial cable.
Fasteninng nut
Remove the outer covering from the coaxial cable.
(2)
Remove the covering with a knife while taking care not to
damage the shielding.
Insert the clamp.
(3)
Insert the clamp from the top of the shielding so that it
reaches the outer covering of the coaxial cable.
Attach the shielding to the top circular part of the clamp
(4)
evenly while taking care not to bend it back.
Cut off the shield braid with a
minor clearance left in area A
shown on the right.
