NOTE: Check ALL parts for shipping damage. In case of shipping damage, DO NOT use. Contact
Carrier/Dealer for further instructions.
Safety Summary
To ensure the safe and proper use of the Solace Mattress, these instructions MUST be
followed:
WARNING
DO NOT use this equipment without first reading and understanding this
instruction sheet. If you are unable to understand the warnings, cautions and
instructions, contact a healthcare professional, dealer or technical personnel if
applicable, before attempting to install this equipment - otherwise, injury or
damage may occur.
ACCESSORIES WARNING
Invacare products are specifically designed and manufactured for use in conjunction
with Invacare accessories. Accessories designed by other manufacturers have not
been tested by Invacare and are not recommended for use with Invacare products.
Instructions for Use
1. Remove all packaging before use.
2. Place the Solace mattress directly onto a bed frame.
NOTE: The heavy duty water‐resistant cover provides a vapor‐permeable, two‐way stretch surface,
to promote patient comfort and to maximize the effectiveness of the foam core.
NOTE: Apart from bed sheets, where possible avoid the use of additional covers or padding between
the patient and the mattress.
NOTE: The inner foams should be regularly inspected. If the cover becomes damaged then the
mattress should not be used until a new cover is fitted.
NOTE: When fitting a cover, care MUST be taken to ensure that the corners of the foam core are
positioned correctly into the corners of the cover.

En assurant une répartition uniforme du poids, le matelas allège la pression sur les tissus aux zones potentiellement sensibles. Capacité pondérale de ce matelas est de 540 lb (245 kg). Repositionnement Il est essentiel que le patient se repositionne lui‐même ou quʹon lʹassiste à le faire de façon régulière. Cette pratique permet de soulager de la pression et aide à prévenir la compression et le risque dʹulcération des tissus sensibles. Nettoyage et entretien Vous pouvez nettoyer lʹenveloppe au moyen dʹun chiffon à usage unique trempé dans un détersif léger et de lʹeau chaude ou simplement la passer à la lessiveuse dans une eau à une température de 176° F (80° C). Il faut éviter dʹutiliser tout agent nettoyant contenant des phenols ou de lʹalcool. Assurez‐vous que lʹenveloppe soit entièrement égouttée et asséchée avant de la fixer à nouveau sur le matelas. NE PAS sécher par culbutage. Lorsque lʹenveloppe est très souillée, passez‐la à la lessiveuse dans une eau à une température de 176° F (80° C) en utilisant un détersif dilué.
