I have had a UPS3 pump fitted a few months ago after a flush out of the radiators.. Been on constant curve 2. However all of a sudden started to make a humming sound that goes through the pipes and very annoying. If turn it down to one then not so bad but then radiators not hot enough. Have put it up to 3 for a while to get rid of any air but still the same when put back to number 2. Any ideas why this is happening

A humming sound in a Grundfos UPS3 pump when set to curve 2 could be caused by several factors, including:
1. Air Trapped in the System – Air pockets in the pump or pipework can create noise. Bleeding the system may help. 2. Incorrect Installation – Ensure the pump is installed with a horizontal motor shaft and that gaskets are properly fitted. 3. System Pressure or Flow Issues – If the system has low pressure or restrictions, the pump may struggle, causing noise. 4. PWM Signal Interference – If the pump is externally controlled via PWM, incorrect settings might cause irregular operation and noise. 5. Mechanical Issues – Loose fittings or internal components, such as bearings, may cause vibrations leading to a humming sound.
Checking installation, bleeding the system, and verifying proper settings may help resolve the issue.
