B-2 FUEL INJECTOR AND ITS CIRCUIT CHECK
STEP
1
Check each injector for operating sound at engine
cranking using sound scope.
Do all 3 injector make operating sound?
Does none of 3 injectors make operating sound at

Step 1?

Check fuel injector(s) referring to p. 6E1-58.
Is it in good condition?
Check power circuit of injectors for open and short.

Is it in normal condition?
ACTION
YES
Fuel injector circuit is in
good condition.
Go to Step 4.
Check coupler connection
and wire harness
of injector not making
operating sound.
Check all 3 injectors for
resistance respectively.
If resistance is OK,
substitute a known-good
ECM and recheck.
1. Battery positive voltage
2. Blank
3. "FI" fuse in fuse/relay box
4. Main relay
5. ECM
6. No.1 injector
7. No.2 injector
8. No.3 injector
NO
Go to Step 2.
Go to Step 3.
Faulty fuel injector(s).
