PLC (via PROFINET)
The drive is switched on and off via bits 0-2 of the interface "Cyclic receive
Byte 0". The relevant switching signals from the PLC must not be present
permanently. The required signal behavior is the same as for pushbuttons.
Bit 0: Reverse direction "ON<"
Bit 1: "OFF"
Bit 2: Forward direction "ON>"
The blockage prevention logic can also be enabled or disabled via PROFINET.
This is done with bit 0 of the interface "Cyclic receive Byte 1". However, a
requirement is that the "Remote" operating mode is selected (see "Control
stations - Selection").
A blockage that cannot be cleared generates the "External fault 1". This
transmitted to the PLC with bit 1 of the interface "Cyclic send byte 1". Faults
are acknowledged via bit 6 of the interface "Cyclic receive Byte 0".
Control stations
Both operating modes, "Local 2" and "Remote", are available. You can make a
choice via bit 5 of the interface "Cyclic receive Byte 0". If bit 5 has the value "true",
the mode "Remote" is selected.
"Local 2"
The drive can be operated as desired either locally by pushbutton or via the
operator panel. If no PLC is connected, bit 5 of the interface "Cyclic receive
Byte 0" is always "false". The "Local 2" operating mode is thus selected
automatically.
"Remote"
The drive can be operated as desired either through a PLC (PROFINET) or via
the operator panel. The PLC can be configured in the same project as the
SIMOCODE device, but it does not have to be.
Online monitoring options in TIA Portal
When going through the following scenarios, it is helpful to monitor some data and
facts online in TIA Portal.
Follow the instructions below to go online:
1. Select the device "Control device_1" in the project tree.
2. In the function bar, click the "Go online" button.
3. If you source system (PG/PC) is connected online with the SIMOCODE device,
double-click "Commissioning" in the project tree.
5
You might see the dialog for advanced online connection, which is largely the same as the
"Extended download to device" dialog. Follow the instructions there, start searching for the
SIMOCODE device and click "Connect" to close the dialog.
