2 Operating principle
Cyclic send
In addition to the cyclic send data that are already predefined for the reversing
starter, the following interconnections have been created:
Status – device o.k.
The socket of the binary connector block "Status – device o.k." is
interconnected with the plug for bit 0 of the function block "Cyclic send Byte 1".
If the SIMOCODE device operates without a fault, the controller receives "true".
Blockage message
The socket of the function block "External fault 1" is interconnected with the
plug for bit 1 of the function block "Cyclic send Byte 1". The PLC thus receives
"true" if it was not possible to automatically clear a blockage in the conveying
and the drive has stopped as a result (see chapter 2.2.7).
Fault counter Counter 1
The analog output from Counter 1 is interconnected with input 1 of the function
block "Cyclic send Byte 4/9". In this way, the real number of reversals
performed until fault shutdown (see chapter 2.2.7) or until the value was reset
(see chapter 2.2.9) is transmitted to the controller.
Fault counter Counter 2
The analog output from Counter 2 is interconnected with input 2 of the function
block "Cyclic send byte 4/9". Counter 2 counts all automatic reversals initiated
by the logic. The counter state is transmitted to the controller for statistical
analysis. To do this, the output of Timer 1 (where a positive edge is registered
for every problem detected in the conveying flow) is interconnected with the "+"
plug of Counter 2 (see chapter 2.2.6). After an overflow (>65535), the counter
begins at 0 again.
