3.3.5 Cleaning an Air Filter

During the running of a device, dust in the air accumulates around the dust filter. The
accumulated dust greatly affects the ventilation performance of the dust filter and deteriorates
the heat dissipation efficiency of each component inside a cabinet. To ensure the stable
running of a device, clean and maintain the dust filter at the front door of each cabinet at least
once a year.
Operation Procedure
Step 1 Take out the dust filter.
Before proceeding, open the front door at an angle greater than 120 degrees to prevent
devices inside the cabinet from being polluted by dust shaken off the dust filter.
1.
Open the front door of the cabinet. The black net is the dust filter.
2.
Maintenance personnel can use a ladder to take the dust filter off the front door of the
cabinet by pulling the string.
Step 2 Use water to clean the dust filter.
1.
Wipe and clean the metal wall inside the front door with a clean and dry cotton cloth.
2.
Dehydrate the dust filter using a spin-drier, and place it in a place with good ventilation
for airing.
Step 3 Install the dust filter inside the front door of the cabinet.
Do not insert the wet dust filter into the cabinet; otherwise, the device may be short-circuited.
Maintenance personnel can install the dust filter inside the front door of the cabinet by
attaching the yarn on a ladder.

3.3.6 Cleaning the Air Deflector and Air Defense Frame

During the running of a device, dust in the air accumulates around the air deflector and air
defense frame. This causes potential threats against the stable running of devices. To ensure
the stable running of devices, clean each air deflector and air defense frame at least once a
year.
Air deflectors and air defense frames provide channels for the heat dissipation and air intake
vent of the service frames located above the air deflectors.
