HP 98726A Interface Card
Installation Procedure
1. Play It Safe.
a. Turn your computer off and unplug the power cord.
b. Remove the HP 98726A from its envelope, being careful to handle the
card by its edges and metal end plate. The card may be easily damaged
by electrostatic discharge (static zap).
c. Place the card on the envelope.
2. Check the Address Switches and Jumper Position.
a. The default settings for the address switches are shown in Figure 5-56.

These address switches perform three functions:
• Switch 1 determines whether the interface will respond to a
DIO-I
or
DIO-II
select code.
• Switch 2 determines whether the interface will work in
DIO-I
Internal
or External memory space.
• The remaining six switches set the interface's select code.
