ADJUSTING TEMPERATURE TO AVOID BOILING AT HIGH ALTITUDES

In order to extract the most flavor from your single serve cup your brewer works at
201°F. It is a perfect temperature for elevations under 5000 feet. Higher altitudes need
adjustment.
1. Immediately after the power cord is plugged into the electrical outlet, you will hear
an audible signal.
2. At this time, touch the "PREHEAT" and "START" buttons for 1 second to enter into
the SET mode. You will see all five cup sizes' LED icons flashing.
3. For altitudes under 5000 Feet, touch the button for the "8oz Cup" for 1 second, until
the "8oz Cup" LED flashes. Next touch the START button to set to the correct tem-
perature.
4. For altitudes under 6000 Feet, touch the "10oz Cup" button for 1 second, until the
"10oz Cup" LED flashes. Next touch the START button to set to the correct tem-
perature.
5. For altitudes under 7000 Feet elevation, touch the "12oz Cup" button for 1 second,
until the "12oz Cup" LED flashes. Next touch the START button to set to the correct
temperature.

HOW TO ADJUST THE WATER FILLING AMOUNT

1. Immediately after the power cord is plugged in, you will hear an audible signal.
2. At this time you can select your cup size. You will need to touch the selected cup
size and "START" at the same time. Water will start dispensing from the brewer.
3. When the water reaches the desired level for the middle cup setting touch the
"START" button to stop dispensing. Setting for the middle cup is now completed.
The outputs for the other cup sizes will be adjusted accordingly.
NOTE:
This model (8LCH-KKSCSSS5HW) has memory chip to retain your settings.
To return to factory settings unplug the power cord and plug back again after 3 sec-
onds, Hold "PREHEAT" and "UNLOCK" at the same time.
IMPORTANT: Please touch the "8oz Cup, 10oz Cup and 12oz Cup buttons" si-
multaneously if you want to set the additional setting when the unit is already
plugged in.
