Assembly and adjustment

+
Also refer to your drill manual.
Mounting the drill (fig. B)
● Remove the side handle from the machine.
● Loosen the bolt (31) using the feed handle (4).
● Mount the machine to the stand.
- For machines with a 60 mm collar: the
machine can be mounted directly to the stand.
- For machines with a 53 mm collar:
The D215834 reduction ring is required to
make the collar of the drill fit in the drill holder.
● Tighten the bolt (31) using the feed handle (4).
Always mount your drill firmly to prevent
@
movement.
Installing the stand (fig. C - G)
The stand can be installed either vertically (fig. C)
or horizontally (fig. D) on a surface such as a floor
or a wall.
Always make sure the stand is securely
@
fastened on the surface.
Mounting the stand with the fastening set
(fig. E1 & E2)
A fastening set is required to secure the stand to
masonry (fig. E1) or concrete (fig. E2) surfaces.
● Locate the stand at the desired position and mark
the location of the mounting hole on the wall.
● Drill a hole at the marked location.
- In concrete: 15 mm diameter by 55 mm deep
- In masonry: 20 mm diameter by 85 mm deep
26
● Insert the anchor plug (32) into the hole.
● Tighten the anchor (33) into the anchor plug.
● Position the stand over the anchor.
● Place a washer (34) and wingnut (35) onto the
bolt. Securely tighten the wingnut.
Mounting the stand with the bracing bracket
(fig. F)
For a quick set up in indoor applications, a bracing
bracket can be used to secure the stand.
● Position the stand.
● Place the bracket foot (36) against the base (9).
● Move the latch (37) out of the way to depress
the lever (38). Extend the bracket (24) until it
reaches the opposite surface. Release the lever.
● Clamp the bracket in position using the rod (39).
● Insert the pin (40) into the hole closest to the
clamping mechanism.
Mounting the stand with the vacuum pump
(fig. G1 & G2)
If the stand is to be mounted to delicate surfaces,
a vacuum pump can be used to secure the stand.
The vacuum created in the base keeps the stand
securely in position.
This application works only if the stand
@
is mounted to a flat surface (e.g. tile,
vibrated concrete) which is clean and
free of debris and swarf. Otherwise, the
suction may drop, causing the stand to
fall or move.
● Fit the rubber seal (41) in the slot (42) in the
underside of the base.
● Place the vacuum handle (43) over the opening
in the base (9).
● Tighten the screw (44) with the washer (45) into
the handle.
● Position the stand.
● Connect the hose of the vacuum pump to the
connection point (16).
● Switch on the vacuum pump. Keep the pump
switched on as long as the application requires.
Adjusting the stand (fig. A)
● Read one of the air levels to check whether the
stand is level.
