    ... PREPARATION Remote Control I Loading the batteries in the remote control Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control. Insert the batteries (AA, UM-3 or R6 type) according to the polarity markings on the inside of the battery compartment.

Recording operation is described with buttons on this unit and the remote control. These button names are noted in the order of “button name (remote control button name)”.

    RECORDING FUNCTIONS ... CD DIRECT Copy This unit has a CD DIRECT copy function using both disc trays. It digitally copies an entire source CD placed on disc tray A onto a disc placed on disc tray B to be used for copying.

    RECORDING FUNCTIONS ... I CD TEXT editing This unit can edit CD TEXT data on the disc to be used for recording. Each name can contain up to 23 characters using capital and lower case letters of the alphabet, numbers, and symbols. CD TEXT data editing should be complete before finalization is performed.

Each tray has its own operation buttons. When operating this unit with the remote control, select A or B to use the operation buttons on the remote.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ... CD-Recorder System Notes and Limitations I About track length and number • The CD specifications state that the minimum length of a CD track must be 4 seconds. If a recording is stopped while the track is less than 4 seconds long, the unit will record silence until the 4 second track length requirement has been reached, and then stop recording.

Check Disc This is displayed when the recorder stops after reading disc information, while performing an erase procedure, finalization, or OPC. If this occurs, the disc may be dirty or possibly even damaged.
