Tensioning The Blade
See Figure 3-9. Turn the blade tension handle clockwise to compress the rubber spring
and tension the blade. Check the blade tension occasionally when adjusting the cant
control or while cutting. As the blade and belts heat up and stretch, the blade tension will
change. Also, ambient temperature changes can cause tension to change. Adjust the
tension handle as necessary to keep the rubber spring washer aligned with the indicator.
