The need for address settings and the range of address setting depend on the configuration of the system. Refer to section
[2-7 Example System with an MA Remote Controller]

Address setting

In case of 10HP system, assign an odd number starting with
"01". In case of 20HP system with two refrigerant circuits, as-
sign a sequential odd number starting with "01" to the upper
indoor controller, and assign "the address of the upper indoor
controller + 1" to the lower indoor controller.
No address settings required. (The main/sub switch must be configured if two
remote controllers are connected to the system or if the indoor units are con-
nected to different outdoor units.)

Setting method
Power supply switch connector connection

Leave the connector on CN41 as it is.
(Factory setting)
Disconnect the connector from CN41 and
connect it to CN40 on only one of the
outdoor units (OC).
·Connect the S (shielded) terminal on the
terminal block (TB7) on the outdoor unit
whose connector on CN40 to the earth
terminal ( ) on the control box.
Leave the connector on CN41 as it is.
(Factory setting)
Disconnect the connector from CN41 and
connect it to CN40 on only one of the
outdoor units (OC).
·Connect the S (shielded) terminal on the
terminal block (TB7) on the outdoor unit
whose connector on CN40 to the earth
terminal ( ) on the control box.
Leave the connector on CN41 as it is.
