Troubleshooting Problems with Boot Process

Error: R&S FSP does not start the measurement application.
Following switch-on, the R&S FSP first boots the computer BIOS. After successful initialization of the
computer the Windows XP operating system starts up. Subsequently, the test application is loaded as
start-up program. Simultaneously, selftests are performed at various locations and error messages, if
any, are output. It is advisable for troubleshooting to connect a keyboard to the keyboard socket.
Normal action
Start R&S FSP
Subsequent to switching on the R&S FSP, the following BIOS
message is displayed:

The computer starts the hardware test. The test results are
displayed on the screen. If errors occur during the boot procedure,
these messages may indicate defects.

The memory test issues the memory capacity of the front module
controller. The basic version of the R&S FSP provides 512 Mbytes.
Subsequently, BIOS starts the hardware check.
