6-5. Onboard Subnet Manager
The Onboard Subnet Manager is installed in this product, however, it is disabled at factory. To use the
Onboard Subnet Manager, access the switch console of this product via serial port or Ethernet port,
and enable the Onboard Subnet Manager. (Provide settings for "priority" or other related parameter as
needed.)
CLI
1.
Login to CLI with the account of administrator privileges via serial port or Ethernet port.
2.
Execute "enable" command.
3.
Execute "config terminal" command.
4.
Execute "ib sm" command.
5.
Execute "exit" command.
6.
Execute "write memory" command.
Web UI
1.
Login to Web UI with the account of administrator privileges via Ethernet port.
2.
Move to "IB SM MGMT" Menu.
3.
Move to "Base SM" Submenu.
4.
Select a target IB Switch in "Base SM" Submenu, and check to "SM Enabled" box of the relevant
switch.
5.
Press "Apply" on "Base SM" Submenu.
6.
Press "Save".
For setting of the relevant parameters, use CLI command (such as "ib sm sm-priority") or "IB SM
MGMT" Menu of Web UI. For CLI command, refer to the Mellanox MLNX-OS Command Reference
Guide for VPI.
