    Installing the Router 4.1 Installing AR515GW-LM9-D CAUTION Leave at least 100 mm of clearance around the router for heat dissipation. Do not place other objects on the router. If there is sufficient space in the vehicle, make the cable outlet side and hard disk side face left and right respectively to facilitate maintenance.
  • Page 4 Connect the hard disk connector to the hard disk, use two screws to fix them, and install them in the hard disk cage. While holding the hard disk with one hand, use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the four M3x6 screws at the back of the router.
  • Page 5 Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the six screws on the SIM card cover, and then remove the SIM card cover. Keep the screws for later use. Insert the SIM card into the SIM card holder. Install the SIM card cover back and fix it with the six screws.
  • Page 6 Fix the two mounting brackets on two sides of the router with six M5x10 screws using the Phillips screwdriver. Use a measuring tape to determine positions of four mounting holes for the mounting brackets on the luggage rack. The diameter of each mounting hole is 6 mm. NOTE Adjust positions of the mounting holes if necessary.
  • Page 7 4.2 Installing AR515CGW-L Installing hard disk and SIM cards CAUTION The hard disk enclosure cannot be inserted or removed when the power is on. Turn the key counterclockwise until it stops to unlock the hard disk lock, unlock the hard disk lock, loosen the two fastening screws using the Phillips screwdriver, and pull out the hard disk enclosure.
  • Page 8 Use the Phillips torque screwdriver to tighten the four M3x6 screws on the back of the hard disk with a torque of 5.5 Kgf.cm to fix the hard disk on the hard disk tray in the correct direction. Install the hard disk tray to the hard disk enclosure, hold the connector in place, and then tighten the four captive screws.
  • Page 9 Scenario 1 Installing the Router on a Horizontal Plane in a Vehicle Screws on the router must be tightened solid to ensure that the router can sustain long-time CAUTION vibration when the vehicle is running. Sufficient clearance must be reserved around the router for later cable connection and router maintenance.
  • Page 10 Use the Phillips screwdriver to tighten the four M4x10 screws to install the waterproof cover on the cable tray. Install the router on a horizontal plane in the vehicle. Attach the mounting brackets to the horizontal plane reserved for the router, and mark the positions of the four mounting holes for the M4 bolts.
  • Page 11 Determine the positions of the mounting holes on the paperboard based on the distance between each two of the four self-clinching nuts on the mounting bracket. Connect all cables of the router. Connect cables in the sequence from bottom to top and from right to left. Otherwise, some cables NOTE cannot be connected properly.

    In the vertical direction, categorize the cables into six groups based on the port positions, use cable ties to bundle the cables, and fix them on the holes for binding cables on the cable tray. Use the Phillips screwdriver to tighten the four M4x10 screws to install the waterproof cover on the cable tray.
