1.8VCT Solenoid - Exhaust Camshaft

Remove
1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
2. Disconnect solenoid multiplug.
S 106027 S 106028
3. Position absorbent cloth to collect spillage, remove bolt
securing solenoid to housing and remove solenoid.
Refit
1. Clean mating faces of components.Fit new O-ring.
2. Fit solenoid to housing, tighten bolt to 9Nm.
3. Connect solenoid multiplug.
4. Connect battery earth lead.
Version 2.0

1.8VCT Solenoid - Inlet Camshaft

Remove
1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
2. Disconnect solenoid multiplug.
3. Position absorbent cloth to collect spillage, remove bolt
securing solenoid to housing and remove solenoid.
Refit
1. Clean mating faces of components.Fit new O-ring.
2. Fit solenoid to housing, tighten bolt to9Nm.
3. Connect solenoid multiplug.
4. Connect battery earth lead.
