ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION. . . IIZ"".
WARNING:
When cranking the engine, ground spark
plug lead to prevent sparking.
-If pressure falls bellow the minimum level:
1. Squirt a few drops of oil into the affected
cylinder.
2. Measure the compression again.

Worn or damaged pistons
Defective ring(s), valves,
cylinder head gasket or
piston is possible.
Inspect cylinder head,
valve surfaces, or piston
crown for carbon deposits.
ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION
l. Start the engine and warm it up for several
minutes.
2. Place the motorcycle on a level place and hold
it on uplight position.
NOTE: _
Position motorcycle straight up when checking
oil level, a slight tilt to the side can produce false
readings.
3. Stop the engine and visually check the oil level
throught the level window
CD.
4. Inspect:
-Oil level
Oil level should be between maximum

and minimum
®
marks.
Oil level low-+' Add oil to proper level.
NOTE: _
Wait a few minutes until level settles before in-
specting.
