General information General information Reading and storing the user manual This user manual accompanies this 20 V Li-ion cordless multifunction tool FAM 20-I (referred to below only as the ‘multifunction tool’). It contains important information on safety, usage and care. Before using the multifunction tool, read the user manual carefully. -

Distractions can cause you to lose control. Electrical safety a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools.

Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.

Check to make sure that all components and accessories have been received (see Fig. A). 3. Check whether the multifunction tool or the individual parts exhibit damage. If this is the case, do not use the multifunction tool. -

Preparation Using the battery WARNING! Risk of injury! Incorrect use of the rechargeable battery and charger can cause injury. − This multifunction tool does not come supplied with batteries. Only use the rechargeable batteries specified in the chapter ‘Technical data’ for the multifunction tool. Operation − To remove the sanding sheet, take hold of it by the tip and pull it off of the sanding plate. Operation Preselecting the oscillation rate You can use the oscillation rate preselector 5 to adjust the speed variably between 5,000 and 16,000 rpm. -
