VIII. Technical Training
A.
Overview
Technicians who have already received certification on the CLC 5000 will
receive automatic certification on the CLC 5100/4000. In conjunction with the
launch of the CLC 5100/4000 the Educational Services Department will
release a CLC 5100 Update Guide (available November 3, 2003).
update guide will cover information specific to the CLC 5100/4000 along with
additional information required to support the ColorPASS-Z6000/7000.
The update guide will be sent to all CLC 5000 Trained Technicians and the
information in it will be incorporated into in the CLC 5000 training program.
For those technicians who have not completed the Color Laser Copier
training course, Color Connectivity Quest is a prerequisite course for the CLC
1000/2400/3100/3900/5000 five-day training course. Upon completion of this
course, certification will be awarded for all the CLC models listed, including
the CLC 5100/4000.
For further information, and classroom availability, please refer to the Training
section on the e-Support website.

The training materials for the CLC 5100/4000 are listed below:

Service materials may be ordered through the Canon Network Access
(CNA) website http://www.cna.cusa.canon.com.
Note:
An Electronic Documentation CD for the CLC 5100/4000 (DU7-C017-000) will
be available approximately 30 days after the product launch. The CD will
contain the Service Manual, Parts Catalog and Service Guide for the main
engine and accessories.
Documentation for all compatible ColorPASS models.
