Connect the opposite end of the grounding cable to the nearest appropriate grounding post in your
facility.

Installing a Fan Tray

The C9010 switch requires three fans for normal operation. Three field-replaceable fan trays are shipped
with the base configuration. To ensure proper temperature and airflow control, the fan tray must always
be installed and operating properly.
1.
Slide the first fan tray into the fan slot 0, the uppermost fan slot (item 2 in Figure 17).
2.
Gently push the front of the tray until it clicks into place. The fan tray should be flush with the
chassis.
3.
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to install a second fan tray into fan slot 1, the middle fan slot.
4.
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to install a third fan tray into fan slot 2, the bottommost fan slot.
5.
To remove a fan tray, press the orange button on the handle (item 1 in Figure 17) and pull out the fan.
