Point to be checked
Confirm that the power LEDs mentioned
on the section 6.4 for reference are lit.
Check the protection circuits shown in the
section 4.3 for reference.
Point to be checked
Check that the wires are firmly inserted
and that there is no break in the wires.
Point to be checked
Check V+12D.
Check V+12.
Check the power supply ICs.
If any of the above cases is not applicable.
Point to be checked
Check for insufficient soldering at each LED.
If there is no soldering problem, check whether
a forward voltage (2.2 to 2.7 V) is detected at
both ends of the LED.
Check that a control signal is output for
each LED.
If any of the above cases is not applicable.
Point to be checked
Check the wiring on the V+5D_1 line and
the mounting condition of the parts around
the power circuit for the backlight.
Check the following signals at the FLCB
Assy.

Measures to be taken
If there is any unlit LED, check the corresponding
power circuit.
If there is a defect in a protection circuit, replace
the defective part (fuse, etc.).
Measures to be taken
Secure the connection.
Replace any broken wires.
Measures to be taken
If there is no V+12D output (pin 1 of CN101), the SW
power block is defective. Replace the POWER SUPPLY
Assy.
If V+12 (pin 1 of CN7050) is "L," check the SW power
output. If there is no V+12D output (pin 1 of CN101),
the SW power block is defective. Replace the POWER
SUPPLY Assy.
If V+12 (pin 1 of CN7050) is "H," the transistor (Q7050)
is defective. Replace the part.
There may be insufficient connection(s) with the power
regulator IC or surrounding part(s), or part defect.

Improve the connection(s) or replace the defective part(s).
Replace the parts in the following order and check
the operation.
1 FLCB Assy, 2 DECM Assy
Measures to be taken
Eliminate any soldering problems.
If there is a forward voltage, an LED part is defective.
Replace the defective part.
If an LED does not light even though a signal is being
fed from pin 8 of CN9001, the corresponding
transistor (Q9001 or Q9002) is defective.
Replace the defective part or the HPVB Assy.
Replace the FLCB Assy
Measures to be taken
There may be improper wiring on the V+5D_1 line or
a defect in the power circuit for the backlight.
Improve the wiring or replace the defective part.
If any of the signals is not output, a peripheral circuit
of the sub-CPU is defective. Replace the FLCB Assy.
