Connecting digital inputs/outputs
The I/O interface X10 with 8 digital inputs/outputs for input and output devices which are not
to be operated in fail-safe mode are located on the side of the device.
Unconnected inputs/outputs are automatically set to "0".
Procedure
The plug-in connector is included in the accessory kit and is designed for cables with a
maximum cross section of 1.5 mm
Note
Risk of damage to the device
Do not connect the cables if the plug-in connector is plugged into the HMI device. You may
damage the fastening of the connector in the device.
Only connect cables when the connectors are unplugged.
To open the plug-in connectors, press in the opening provided using a screwdriver for slotted
screws. Push the cable into the housing of the plug-in connector and remove the
screwdriver. The wiring is fixed.
Do not reverse the wires. Note the pin assignment of interface X10, see section "Interface
description" > Digital inputs/outputs (Page 50)".

Securing the cables
Use one or more cable ties to secure the cables connected to the display unit to suitable
fixing elements for strain relief.
