5) Stake new lock nut for output shaft speed sensor, using stan-
dard punch in combination with hammer.
NOTE:
When staking lock nut for vehicle speed sensor, point a
suitable staking tool toward differential drive pinion shaft
axis center and stake lock nut securely, as shown in the
figure. (Poor staking may cause abnormal noise.)

6) Apply A/T fluid to thrust needle roller bearing and race.

Outside diameter : Approximately 65.8 mm (2.59 in.)
Inside diameter

7) Place thrust needle roller bearing and race to transmission
case.
8) Apply A/T fluid to thrust needle roller bearing and race.
Race with bearing dimension
Outside diameter : Approximately 45.7 mm (1.80 in.)

9) Place thrust needle roller bearing and race to transmission
case.
10) Install counter driven gear to transmission case.
