I have been given a very clean secondhand Lamona HJA2440 extractor which I hope to be able use when a new kitchen is installed (professionally) in a few months time. In order to check that it IS working before being set aside ready for when the new kitchen is fitted, I have temporarily wired it into into a 3 amp plug to test it. The light and **** are working as expected, HOWEVER the connection cable on the body of the product only has a twin (live and neutral) cable not a twin and earth one. Is this correct or a safety issue? Thank you
