Introduction

Introduction
The Intelligent Operator Panel (IOP) optimizes the interface and communications options of
the SINAMICS inverter.
The IOP is connected to the inverter using an RS 232 interface.
The IOP supports (in conjunction with a PC with USB port ) the following functions:
● Download wizards
● Download additional languages
● Download IOP firmware updates
The downloads can be found on the Siemens Service and Support website:

Screen symbols
A series of symbols showing different states appears in the upper right area of the IOP
display. These symbols are explained in the table below.
