Resetting the Server

Read this section if the server does not work normally. For resetting by Web console, refer to Chapter 3 (7.6
Remote KVM) in User's Guide.
7.1

Soft Reset

If the server halts before starting the OS, press <Ctrl> + <Delete> + <Alt> keys. This clears all the data in
progress in memory, and restarts the server.
7.2

BMC Reset

Press the BMC RESET Switch only if a problem occurs in EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3 (BMC). Do not press
BMC RESET Switch in usual operation.
To reset the BMC, press BMC RESET Switch at least five seconds.

Note To reset the server when it is not frozen, make sure that no processing is in progress
BMC RESET Switch resets only BMC and that does not reboot the server.
