2. Using the Answering System

The built-in answering system allows you to receive both voice messages and
faxes while you are out.

Recording an Outgoing Message

The outgoing message (OGM) is the greeting that the machine plays after
answering a call to inform callers that they can leave a message or send a fax.
Follow the steps below to record a message.
Example:
"Hello. You've reached ______ . No one is available to take your call right now.
Please leave a message after the beep or press your facsimile Start key to
send a fax. Thank you for calling."

(If you have already recorded a
message, you can press
listen to the message.)
To use the answering system, you
will first need to record an outgoing
message. When you go out, turn
on the answering system by setting
the reception mode to TAD.
