BEFORE MAKING A CALL

Fully extend the antenna on the
base station.
Take the handset to the desired
location.
Fully extend the antenna on the
handset.
Press the TALK button. Make
sure that you get a dial tone
and the TALK indicator lights.
Make a call.
Press the END button to return
the handset to the standby
mode.
NOTE:
If the phone does not work proper-
ly, check the system connections
and the operating range. (If the
BATT LOW indicator is lit, charge
the handset.) See page 8.
1O-CHANNEL ACCESS
The CLA-1 380 is capable of
operating on 10 different channels.
If you experience
interference
during a call, simply select a
different channel by pressing the
SCAN button.
NOTE:
When there is excessive signal
noise or interference,
pressing the
SCAN button may not improve
signal quality. If conversation
becomes impossible,
follow the
instructions
below:

Place the handset in the cradle of the base station.
Lift the handset and press the END button.
Press the SCAN button.
Reset the security code. (See page 11.)
