The default system PIN for the BT Everyday Phone is preset. If you have not changed it, the default PIN is "0000". If you have changed it and forgotten the new PIN, you may need to reset the phone to its default settings, which requires entering the current PIN.

I have bought a BT Everyday phone (to add to the adaptor downstairs). The adaptor (downstairs) rings but the BT Everyday doesn't. I have tried various things through menu, but it just won't ring. The Everday phone is plugged into the hub. Speaking on it works fine.

Your BT Everyday Phone may not be ringing when the adaptor downstairs rings due to the following reasons:

1. The telephone line may not be connected correctly.
2. The base ringer may be set to off.
3. There may be a faulty line or socket; try using another socket or line.
4. The total Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) limit of 4 may have been exceeded, preventing some phones from ringing.
5. If using different telephone types, there is no guarantee that all will ring.

Check these factors to troubleshoot the issue.

The BT Everyday Phone does not have an answering machine, so it cannot record missed call messages. However, you can check missed calls by opening the Calls list. Press the navigation buttons to scroll through the list, with the most recent calls displayed first. If you have subscribed to a Caller Display service, you will see the caller's number.
