    Notice This document describes how to install the server, how to connect the power cables and signal cables, and how to check the connections when the Huawei RH2288H V3, and RH5885H V3 server act as the server of eSight. The power cable connection and signal cable connection that are detailed in this document are written according to the standard configuration.

    Installing the Server Installing the Server on Adjustable Guide Rails (Applies to All Cabinets) • Each server must be supported by guide rails. Stacking one server on another will cause server damage. • Guide rails are divided into left and right guide rails (labeled with L and R). A pair of guide rails should be installed together and cannot be installed reversely.

    Installing the Power Cables Connecting an AC Power Cable • Do not connect the power cables when the power-supply device is powered on. Instead, switch off the power-supply device to avoid injuries. • To protect devices and personnel, use the matching power cables. Connect the one end of the AC power cable to the power port on the PSU of server.
  • Page 8 Connecting a DC Power Cable (RH5885H V3 Server) Do not connect the power cables when the power-supply device is powered on. Instead, switch off the power-supply device to avoid injuries. Connect the ground cable. a. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw in the ground hole on the rear of the server, and connect one end of the ground cable to the removed screw.

In a local HA system, connect at least four service network ports. Network ports 1 and 3 can be bonded as the system or application private line. Network ports 2 and 4 can be bonded as the heartbeat or duplication private line.

There are no solder joints or connectors in the power cables and the PGND cables. There is no breaking equipment such as switches and fuses in the electrical connection of the grounding system.

    Powering On/Off the Server Powering On the Server • Before powering on the server, ensure that the power switch is off. • During power-on, do not plug or insert a hard disk, network cable, or serial port cable. • After the server is powered off, wait at least 1 minute before powering on the server again. Check cable connections.
